We partnered with Sharekhan to create an unique onboarding experience that assists the users in account opening at every step, making it a breeze for them to open a single account for all investment tools. The effort was largely to minimize the effort at users end and guide them through the process.
Strategy
We toyed with a bunch of UX approaches to onboarding. In our research we found that the most cumbersome aspect of onboarding is the inability to toggle between the steps thereby not giving them visibility of the entire process involved in ac opening. Our challenge was to create an interface wherein all the stages of the ac opening are visible at once letting the users jump from one stage to another effortlessly.

resulting UI
Each pain point was defined and after the initial exploration, a complete set of screens was wireframed and designed.
Responsive Web UI
The tab based UI approach was extended to desktop, instantly giving a complete view of the steps involved in account opening. We maintained a clean and minimal UI for the web, making it easy for the users to absorb the information displayed on screens. The same principles were applied to the dashboard UI created for the agents verifying the applications.


Onboarding Steps, Success States, Coach Marks, Tooltips & Guidestones
Empowering users to fill the forms at their convenience and readiness. We designed the steps upfront in a horizontal scroll form combined with a progress bar. Guiding users to practically experience the defining features of the app, demystify the complex topics with brevity and clarity and prepare them for next steps.

Each step is clearly defined in the top bar, with a colour-coded indicator which clearly communicates the completion status of a step.

The UI is full of information bits that appear in a non-invasive way to explain hard-to-understand tech jargon

Containing a guide book of the complete interface, the 'Help' section can be accessed any time from the top nav.

Design system
The extensive & scalable nature of the project makes it essential to create a design system for the product. This becomes a master key of the design style and visual language for anyone involved in creating or developing it.
